Beginning a homeopathic case study is like setting out on an exquisite journey. You really do not know what awaits you at the end. But one thing is for sure! You definitely have a treasure waiting for you at the end. Yeah, something similar to a guaranteed prize offer that you see the marketers advertising all around.
One Treasure Many Beneficiaries
But the treasure that awaits you at the end of the case study journey is manifold. Which means it has multiple benefits. It is not only the patient who is under homeopathic treatment who will get the treasure or the prize. There are numerous others who are going to experience the profits.
Here is a small list of beneficiaries:
1) The patient.
2) The homeopathic consultant.
3) The relatives of the patient.
4) The colleagues of the patient.
5) All the social contacts of the patient
6) Society in general.
Why is the Journey So Amazing?
Well, what I call as an amazing journey is actually the life history that unfolds in front of me, when I begin the patient’s case study. As a homeopathic consultant I need to know intricate details of the illness. For example let us consider a case of hypertension (high blood pressure) that has responded beautifully to my treatment.
This young lady got her high blood pressure under control and within normal limits, in merely 4 days of starting her homeopathic treatment for hypertension at Live Positive Multi-speciality homeopathic clinic.
Okay, so this patient of mine was a young lady aged 37 years and she had been suffering from hypertension since she was just 20 years old. This was a peculiar case where many of her maternal relatives had a history of hypertension beginning very early, i.e. between 20 and 30 years of age. Her mother, her maternal grandmother, her maternal aunt and her maternal cousin were all suffering from hypertension. And it was not just the female relatives, because her maternal cousin was her maternal aunt’s son and he was also suffering from hypertension since the age of 19.
As I probed more into her history, I found out that she had a long history of emotional suppression and restriction, leading to chronic depression. In childhood, despite being the only child of her parents, she was never cared for by her mom as her dad was working in the military and her mom preferred to travel around India wherever her dad was transferred. In the process, she left behind her only daughter with her mom and sister and she (my patient) was cared for by her maternal grandmother and aunt.
To cut a long story short, my patient wanted to do her graduation after her matriculation and was academically very brilliant. But since no one was around to care for her and since she was a female, she was looked upon as a burden or a responsibility and she was married off at the young age of 18 years to a man almost 15 years her senior.
Life after marriage was a torment to say the least and her husband continued the physical, mental and emotional abuse that my patient had been going through in her childhood.
Her current life situation is still the same, but now has two young children to look after. She was put on homeopathic treatment for hypertension and she is now in her final (3rd month) stage of her homeopathic course. Her blood pressure readings were 180/110 mm Hg when she first consulted me. Her first follow-up was 10 days afterwards and her blood pressure readings were lower to 136/94 mm Hg. Her second visit was 20 days after starting homeopathic treatment and now her blood pressure readings were 122/ 82 mm Hg. During her case study, I asked her to vent out her emotional problems.
She told me that just by sharing her problems with me during her case recording has helped her immensely she was already feeling light.
Her emotional cleansing, my counselling, combined with homeopathic medicines have all contributed to maintaining both her health and blood pressure within healthy limits. Her current readings are stable at 118/ 72 mm Hg and she will be completing her homeopathic treatment in another 12 days.
My second case of high blood pressure is that of an elderly man in his late fifties. He too has been suffering from hypertension since a young age of 33 but is a totally different personality when compared to my previous patient. He had been using Allopathic anti-hypertensives since his hypertension was diagnosed about 25 years ago.
But despite all efforts by several of his Allopathic consultants his hypertension was never totally within normal limits. His blood pressure was 150/100 when he consulted me for the first time and he said that this had been his stable reading since past many years. His diastolic blood pressure readings never dropped lower than 100 mm Hg in the past 25 years of Allopathic treatment (which he had meticulously continued even without a day’s gap).
This patient had actually consulted me for his BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy) and since his allopathic doctors had advised surgical intervention, he had consulted me for a second opinion as he was totally against undergoing any surgery for his problem. When I mentioned about his hypertension, he was quick to tell me that he was happy with his Allopathic medications and asked me to focus only on his prostate treatment.
He was a happy go lucky person, very happy with his life and career and had nothing to complain about. He was put on homeopathic treatment after his detailed case analysis and when he came for his first follow-up after 10 days of beginning treatment, his blood pressure readings were 128/88 mm Hg. When I mentioned this to him, he was actually surprised but still he was worried that I am concentrating on curing his hypertension and his prostate enlargement would be ignored. I explained to him that homeopathy is a holistic treatment method, where you cannot cherry pick and cure just one health problem and leave the others out.
Whatever homeopathic medicines he was receiving would act on his Vital Force or his immunity and treat the imbalance and disorders in his entire system (Mind, Body and Soul) and finally would RESTORE him back to GOOD HEALTH.
On his second follow-up, i.e. 20 days after beginning his homeopathic treatment his blood pressure was just 108/ 78 mm Hg and I had to ask him to taper off his Allopathic anti-hypertensives over a period of a week and then completely stay off all of those drugs. He is currently in his second month of his homeopathic course and totally off any other drugs and enjoying normal blood pressure of 120/80 mm Hg.
Window to the Soul
A homeopathic case study is an amazing phenomenon because of many reasons. As I mentioned in the first case, almost all of my patients confirm and agree that by the time they are done relating their entire case history, they notice a tremendous difference in their internal state. They feel relieved of a huge burden and the mere act of relating their troubles (be it mental, physical or emotional or all three combined) is in itself therapeutic.
